- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪This was the most bizarre and unprofessional experience my wife (the patient) and I have ever had with a health care professional, anywhere, ever. My wife was seen once by Dr. Jacoby and then for no reason, several weeks later, he refused to continue treating her. Not only did he refuse, but he gave no reasons and would not speak to my wife about his decision. When my wife and I showed up at Dr. Jacoby's office it was specifically to obtain my wife's records and seek an audience with Dr. Jacoby, either that day or on a future date. His receptionist suggested that we either email and send a letter via USPS to Dr. Jacoby, asking whatever questions we had, but she would not guarantee that he would speak to us, either in person or on the phone. Hearing that, we again asked for a copy of my wife's records, which they agreed to send via email. The entire scenario was very unprofessional and the presence of the police, underscored the bizarre nature of this encounter. Imagine, out of the blue for no reason at all, you are told by a medical care provider, "I will not continue to treat you. Seek care elsewhere."September 15, 2017by Michael Diamant
